A new beginning…

It’s been more than two years since I started posting every single day on my Instagram theguywiththebook What started as a place to record and keep a list of books I’ve read slowly started to build into a wonderful community of book lovers.

This also led to my first international award as a book blogger when I won the Bookstagrammer of the year at the London Book Fair (April 2018)

This was obviously a huge surprise and indeed a much needed push to work harder and try to further improve the content of my page.

Naturally, being human and all, I want to take this to the next level – Traditional book blogging. So I decided to finally register this domain and hopefully try and regularly (weekly) post book related content to it. I might steer around a bit from the book world too if it’s interesting enough to share with everyone here.

We’re starting with zero followers today 16th of May 2018, but if you read this, do share in the comments what you would be interested in, and I’ll try my best to see what I can do 😊

Keep sharing the posts on insta. They have inspired to read books and finish them whenever I couldn’t.

Quite coincidentally, I started my blog last year on the same day. 16th May. I hope you prosper in this new journey of yours.

  3. Hi Faroukh!
I’m excited to see what you do in this space. As well as normal bookish stuff, I’d love it if you could post a bit about Jedda. You live in one of the most mysterious places in the world because it’s closed to non Muslims. I’d love to see and hear more about it!
